It seems that the new meizu and other chinese branded range players are not as price-competitive as the gen1, gen2 clones in the past? Perhaps of some price drop in the ipod range.

Can't really help it though, news of the m8 started somewhere mid or 3rd quarter of 2007, but still no news of when it'll be out. Think one alternative for meizu to "win" back its supporters would be a price reduction.

If i'm gonna save $50-$100 on a player (meizu or any other chinese branded) that costs $400, i'll might as well get an ipod/creative. At least i know that there is a service centre that i could drive to the city, drop it off and pickup in a few days, if anything goes wrong with it.

It would be interesting as the m8 appears on the market and tries to grab a bite of the apple. Hopefully there would be a substantial price difference to justify a purchase in the m8.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
