i spoke to our web hosting provider, they first said it was an issue with the server we were on and it needed to be restarted. That obviously didn't fix the problem, they now say that a site on the server (we're on a shared server with god knows how many other sites) is causing all the problems and that they are working on it to fix the problem.
Anyways, just check back, hopefully it shouldn't be too long before its up.
