Default iPod Nano Like Brondi MP4 player

Goodmorning.

First of all thank you for this site and this forum. Finally I found something on MP4 players.

I've got a question and a problem that I think I've resolved reading here, but I'd like to share it to understand it better.

I've got this MP4 player, brand Brondi, it looks very like every MP4 player that seems to be a nano clone.

I like it very much, it is usefull and great. But there was a problem, I read a lot of books with it. More or less two weeks ago, I noticed that it didn't keep the "bookmark" anymore. It seems like it put a bookmark "casually". I've tried to format it (FAT32), but the problem was still there.

When I look at the "firmware version" in the menu it says:
620_001
2006/05/25
VR-2.3.5.35
2006/05/25

So I found this site.

I thought that for a strange cause the firmware was gone, so I backup my firmware, replace with the "3.5.35Full" I've found here, and my MP4 went all black and didn't work anymore. So I put back the backup I've done and now it seems to work just as before, it keeps the bookmark!

Isn't this a bit strange?

Well, coming to my question: my brother has a MP4 player Magnex and the software seemed to be identical to mine own. Or better: it seems to be all identical except for the writing "Magnex" instead of "Brondi". He didn't have the radio, so he upgraded the firmware and it "came up" with games too.

I'm not interested in games and I've already the FM radio, but I was thinking that maybe there's a better firmware in wich I can keep more than one bookmark.... or maybe it can have more beautiful images.... but that's not so important.

Can you suggest me which one to use? Thank you.

I bought this MP4 player just for music and as txt reader, so I can have a lots of books with me everywhere I go.

Thank you and forgive if there's some mispelled words or wrong expression, I'm not a native English speaker.

Ciao!
