hi there paull..good effort you got their..the firmware you have tried that give you a colored screen and you can put stuff on it but without a menu tells that the firmware is compatible either your RAM or the FLASH but not with the LCD of your player..if you have the dump.bin much better chance along with the full one..but if you have the full fw its all you need to recover your player..
have you tried the ACU7153 firmwares at en.s1mp3.net?..give it a try..you know this thing recovering a s1 player works on a trial and error method..you just have a little patience on yourself..you know what i mean..
by the way,is that all info you can give bout your player?..can you find the board id of it?..havent seen it in your post..i think..
