Received my 1gb Stage Flash MP4 player today :

Now I know the description says it plays MTV / AMV files but it doesn't , only avi's. Problem is that, apart from the sample avi that I deleted before taking note of its compression settings, it won't play any others no matter which convertor I use.
Spent the past 3-4 hours using various versions of AVIConvertor, including the one that rotates the avi by -90 degrees ( got it here in the download section -

In Device Manager it's shown as RockChip USB SD & RockChip USB MP3, and has the exact same interface as the top player in this pic :

If I check the players system settings, it shows the version as 00.00.0007, with a date of 2007-09-21
Anyone happen to have the same / similar player and know what program to use to get avi's working properly please ? It's driving me nuts
