Hi last year i bought a RAmos RM600 mpeg4/mp3 player through ebay, when i got it, ti was working ok except it had 2 thin white pinstripe tipe lines runing down the middle of the screen which i thought was a software fault becoz it only showed on certain screens.I tried getting new firmware on the
www.ramos.com.cn website, but since their site is only in Chinese,im half sure i might have downloaded the wrong firmware. I then used a aplication call firmware updater i found on their webpage, but through googles basic interpratation from chinese to english i basicaly was beter of figuring out everything as i went along. While it was busy updating the player i went out quick, came back home to find the player with a blank white screen, power on.
I then unpluged it from usb and recycled the power but everytime the screen showed a mixed blur of horizontal and vertical lines in various colors over the whole screen, although after leaving it on for a few minutes the screen returned to playn white.
Also the players been laying for a while so i expect the batery might be completely dead,i know cellphone batteries can be shocked to jumpstart them after they been laying for long, can i do the same with this battery or would i have to buy a new one?
I thank anyone who can help me in advance!!!!
Also i didnt get anything with the player, like driver cd or manuals but this is what it says on the cover,I hope its of help.

I fixed some loose wiring on my mp4 player but i cant get it to switch on yet, although when pluging it into pc running xp pro sp3,windows reocnise the device as a RockChip USB MP3 USB Device When going into properties.I still cant use the device in windows though like when i double click on the drive letter or try to format it,it says no disc in drive, and shows 0mb for space on disc, also when i go into device properties and click on the volumes tab on top and then on the populate button it gives me the folowing :
Disc Disc 5
Type Removable
Status Unreadable
Partition Style Master Boot Record(MBR)
Capacity 0MB
Unlocated Space 0MB
Reserved Space 0MB
It also picks up the mini sd card slot as Drive 6 but i cant do anything with it since i dont have a mini sd card for it.
If the main memory module (2Gb) is damaged, would i be able to let the player boot up from a mini sd card of the same size,by loading the firmware onto there,or would the player by default only boot from its internal memory even if i insert a card? Also is there maybe a way to do a hard reset on the board. i saw in the photo gallery a photo of sum1 showing which chip pins to jump to do a hard reset although the photo is of another make of player.
I also tried putting it in upgrade mode, and although windows picks up the device as rockchip usb mp3 device and sd card reader, the consumer update software just keep on saying no rock usb found.
