It's very RISKY to try to update the firmware on your player. Just look in the "Dead Players" section of the forum to see what I mean. There is a very high chance you get a DEAD player as a result of using an incompatible firmware.
Do you have more information about your player? Where did you buy it from? Is there a branding name on it? Can you send some photos?
