Default Re: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players

Dear ajsmicko,

did your player come with a well running video in his flashram ? Could you examine it with Gspot or another video-analyzing program ?

The next generation of mp4-Players with Rockchip-Chipsets RK27xx are playing xvid-coded videos up until the resolution of 720x480 pixel - 320x240 or 400x240 pixel should be working too.

MP4-Players with older Chipsets RK26xxA are playing only one resolution:

rk2602a only 160x120, 15 or 18 fps
rk2606a only 224x176 (sometimes limited through Firmware into 220x176), 20 or 22 or 24 fps
rk2608a only 320x240, 24 fps
rk2610a only 320x240, 24 fps

BTW: in your first post you're writing the problem depends on the screensize of your player: the screensize is larger than 320x240. In your last post you've written the videoresolution is larger than 320x240 pixel:larger than the screensize ?? - this makes me a little bit confused too...

If you're working with the extra parameter for mencoder in viDrop, try these option only (if the resolution is really 320x240 pixel):

-vf-add expand=320:240:-1:-1:1

And do not set "Width" and "Height" higher than 320x240 (your really needed resolution) under the "Advanced Settings": these higher values unfortunately overrides the "Extra parameters" in viDrop 0.56.1 ! Even the "Resize Method" called "Do not resize" does what it means: the converted video gets the resolution of the original video...
