Thanks, yes, the fact that the compression is lossless makes sense that they cannot get the same kind of compression ratios as .mp3. I agree that the sound quality is quite good to my ears, especially on players with the good Wolfson codecs.
Don't get me started on those awful iPod clones....everyone knows how I feel about them
