About the cover art thing - The Teclast M26 also supports cover art, this is confirmed by the Teclast OEM. Yeah, I know all of the talk about the RM970 supporting cover art. I think that this rumor is because Ramos released/leaked an early photo of the RM970 with a completely different screen shot showing cover art that was photoshopped in. It's too late for the RM970, Ramos has moved on.

About the disposable nature of things - Just the fact that these players have a rechargable battery that cannot be replaced because the player cannot be opened (without possibly damaging the unit) is another example how most manufacturers don't really expect users to keep these units. Hey, they would love to sell you a brand new unit every year instead of replacing your battery. Now, we as consumers, especially the mp4 player enthusiasts that we are, are going to buy the new ones every year anyway because we can't resist the new features, capability, and sex appeal of the newer product.
