It could be the RK2608A-Chip or the RK2610A-Chip with the one and only resolution of 320x240 pixel. Otherwise it could be one of the RK27xx-Chips which are playing many resolutions up until 720x480 pixel.
To check which series the Chip belongs to, RK26xxA or RK27xx, you should convert a little video into 224x176 pixel with vidrop and try to play it on your mp4: does it play, its a chip of the RK27xx generation - otherwise it must be the RK2608A or the RK2610A, who couldnt play tiny videos without this Extra Mencoder parameter:

-vf-add expand=320:240:-1:-1:1

This parameter will add 4 borders around the tiny video until the resolution 320x240 pixel has been reached - now its playable on your mp4.

If you wanna know which Chip exactly it is, grab your screwdriver and open the mp4 - do it on your own risk !
