Sorry to hear this did not work, I have heard of this problem before it's a common problem, you haven't found the right firmware for this player, these very hard to find as there are so many variants.
There are some onda firmwares in the rockchip downloads on this site, but I expect you already tried them, all you can do is keep looking, mp4nation forum is a good place to look for help on this as they used to sell this type of player but stopped when the quality went down, and it's also a good place to get a new player if you need one as they try to sell only quality players..
