I had this problem also when I bought the mp4, I did the touch calibration and then the problem was sovled. But when i reseted it (because the frimware update), the problem showed up again... so i tried touch calibrating again, but that didn't work (it took very long).
After putting it on and off a few times, the screen was normal again... problem solved i just hope it won't happen again.
