Hi all,
I'm brand spanking new to firmware hacking MPx players, but not at all new to computers. I tried the s1fwx program on my "MP4" player and got the following results.
Code:
$f
connect to device 'F:\'...
init device...
set device to f-mode...
get info from device...
ic version = 0x0000
storage info = 0x0606, 0x0000, 0x0000, 0x0000
device = 'S1 MP3 Player'
manufacturer = 'Wilson Co. Ltd.'
bootflash type = 'F285'
brom version = 3.0.80
firmware version = 9.1.52
read boot record...
detect firmware size...
error: The system cannot read from the specified device.
disconnect from device...
Press any key to continue . . .
How can I tell what firmware I need to download? It's a 4GB black Nano clone. No model number anywhere on it that I can see. Click wheel has MENU on top, VOL on bottom, |{{ (rewind symbol) on the left, }}| (fast forward symbol) on the right, and }|| (play/pause symbol) in the middle.
It seems to be based on the same firmware as my old Yepo YP-757Y. The only differences are that this firmware has many more languages, a Telephone Book (useless), a couple extra games and an option for a different menu style. Any ideas?
