I purchased a 4GB player back in June and it has served me pretty well with daily use except for the Format Errors I would get when I would put new stuff on it.
Found this site recently and learned about the hacked memory. Fixed my player and it now shows 2GB as its real memory and the Format Errors are history.
Besides that hiccup the player has been great and well worth the $20 bucks I spent on it.
I contacted the seller recently to see what he has to say about misrepresenting hacked 2GB players as 4GB players.
I recently purchased another 4GB for a pretty cheap price off ebay and fixed it up so it showed 2 gig. Sold it to a guy at the flea market and he seemed really happy with it. Hope it is as reliable as mine has been.
Anyone know about these 8GB Touchpad players on ebay which are selling for around $30US?

I would guess they are 4GB in reality or less?
Anyone tried one out?
Do they actually play AVI format video?
