tom_tom flashed his player with firmware for
another board, not the right one 'cause he says the update program he uses gives an error when opening original (right) firmware file.

I've downloaded this file, extracted dump.bin from it, and opened with Product Tools 4.19
and also MP3 Upgrade Tool 4.15,
without a single error. I repeat you, try with another version of upgrade program, maybe yours is an old one.
