I just want to tell you these devices are not similar to pc cards, or scanners or any other pc peripheral, their quality goes from poor to medium, most of them have no support, the firmware is very difficult to find, even the firmware version you could have in the cd that came with your device could not be the right one for that device. Before any attempt of adding new soft, check if there's any website from your mp4 brand. If not, i think the best advice is to live with your mp4 working, despite its flaws, instead of trying to improve it, and possibly killing it, believe me, it can be a real headache.....
