Default Review for the Nationite Edition FiiO E5

What a nice little gadget!
It is a powerful amp with a small face.
I’ve bought the Nationite Edition FiiO E5 Amp together with my OS-43 at Mp4Nation.net.
During my tests with the amp, I’ve notice that my sample has 3 instead of 2 EQ settings. Now they are calling my E5 as “magical”, but I think is just “broken in a good way”… lol!
I have a volume boost between flat and bass boost that was not supposed to be there, but… Whatever! By the way, I will only use that if I want to get deaf soon.
The sound is really crystal clear. I was amazed with that, and the E5 works fine with all my earphones (SoundMAGIC PL-30, alphaBRAIWAVZ and a cheap Panasonic).
I am a musician, actually a heavy metal drummer, playing for more than 18 years, so, I have an eternal “hiss” in my ears because I didn’t take care of… And now is too late! Sometimes, after a gig, I need to go to bed and sleep around 10 hours to get back my audition, so, if there are some problems with the E5 about that, I’m not the right guy to tell you.
I loved the gadget because of his bass boost, and the possibility to have a volume control in my belt. In that way, I don’t need to take my player out of my pocket all the time. I will love the day when Raz will bring us a player that have a full remote control in the headphone cord… I was a happy owner of a Panasonic Portable CD Player with one of those remotes until the day it broke…
The internal battery of the E5 is quite good, but I didn’t try any test about the idea that it will help to save the players battery. Maybe in the future…
For those addicted to electronic gadgets it is a nice accessory to have.
