OK, here is the story. Bought it from Ebay as 8GB player + FM+Video+EBook+lots of stuff.
It came with a CD with some soft and a "newer" firmware. I was stupid enough to flash the memory, and apparently player went dead. I opened it, and based on the chips with AK1025 mark, I used
9.1.52 firmware. After some dancing around, player is alive again.
However, here are some issues.
First, it's based on
infamous HY27UU08AG5A chip, so it turned to be only 2GB after re-formatting.
Well, whatever. What else one would expect for $20?
The main issue bothering me is that the with new firmware all the stuff on the screen is rotated 90[sup:3cf684db33]o[/sup:3cf684db33], and it's not very funny to navigate the menus.
Can anybody suggest firmware version or upload it from the similar player?
