Default Re: M-walker Mp4 Players

I have this same player and it went dead a few days ago. First the media files appear to have disappeared then I ran a disk scan and it recovered them all to FILE0001.CHK and so on.

I expect that the hidden partition became corrupt too, as now there is no firmware loading. It loads to a blue screen and the words USB DISK on the screen.

I expect I may be able to install firmware with one of the firmware tools here - I'm still sorting that problem out.

As far as the function - there is no external volume control so variable volume between songs is a problem.

I found by creating a MYFAVORITES list and adding all songs, then creating a second list and adding one by one from the first list works well. Also you can open and edit the favorites list (which is nothing more than a file list like c:/audio/song1.mp3; c:/audio/song2.mp3). Edit it with a text editor - the first item needs to be added twice because it will ignore the first item after editing. Otherwise, it appears to use the edited file just fine.

I am hoping to be able to restore the firmware if I can find it here on mympxplayer.org.

TheWanderingEye - if you are able to extract your firmware or direct me to the same firmware download I would be very appreciative!

Thanks!
