Default Re: Need conversion help please, new to PMP's

The screen size is 2.5 inch. I will never install XP sorry. I have so many converters that do work, just cant seem to get the parameters correct. the PMP did not come with a sample file. I can take video with it as stated. It produces a MP4 file. And i have tried every version of vidrop listed here and none of them will load up. I got close to it working with stoik or ace workshop that it goes to load the video then freezes. All other attempts vive me video format error. I wish vidrop would work. it is suppose to be compatible with 98 but still wont load for some reason. I appreciate your time.

I may consider installing a new hard drive and putting xp on it if all else fails just for converting videos i guess. I would like to exhaust all other attempts first. I will keep trying and getting keyboard prints on my forehead. Maybe someone with this model will come in and help sooner or later. it seems to be fairly new but the firmware states installation on 03/04/2008.

Another note, i can not access the menu while the PMP is plugged into my PC. If it is in the wall socket it does. i can not attempt to upgrade the firmware either. All i can seem to do is transfer files to it as a mass storage device. i installed the rockusb drivers as stated in manual. The device is win 98 compatible but not the aviconverter (win xp, 2000 only). i use the version 5.1.6 from here, it is the only ver to show in english, when i go to convert it freezes. I can tell you this, i went to my neighbors, used their pc with xp, same thing, cant access the menu on PMP and the converter worked but got file format error still.
