Golzi G-18A v0.6 is the board number, which indicates the connectivity of the LCM (i.e. which pins are connected to which I/O of the CPU). Connectivity of all devices with the same board number should be identical.
However, G-18A might use different displays with different controllers. If you're lucky it'll use one that's compatible with one of the big three command sets, or maybe one of the other lesser-known but still popular ones.
Try this one and see what sort of results you get:

- Hourglass = correct display controller, if it stays on hourglass then it's having problems loading the BREC from the flash.
- Backlight on, nothing else = correct display connectivity, wrong controller type
- U Disk = main core FW is compatible
