Default Re: What firmware is my player and can I change the theme?

The easiest way to find out what version you have is to go to your player's setup menu and then search there, you'll find two items: firmware upgrade and firmware version (instead of "firmware" it may say "FW" but you get the idea. That will tell you what version your player is but that alone is not enough, because every model has a completely unique and different firmware (graphics aside, of course), sometimes the manufacturer includes the firmware in a folder of the player or in the software cd, depending in your player it may be a .bin or .fw or .rfw file of about 7 o r 8 MB.If you don't have it, you'd better check inside your player what chips is it using and what board are they on, otherwise you won't go far, cause wrong FW kills players, period.
Once you have that file, be ready for a long evening of graphic work and changing small bitmaps.
