I'm staggered that you're still running 98. I thought I was in the dark ages for running my webserver on Win 2000.
I fail to understand how Windows 98, which is essentially a DPMI shell, could possibly be more secure than any NT OS. I've been using Server 2003 for nearly 6 years now and have never had ANY trouble with it. I never liked XP much, either. But any NTOS can be neutered to be safe. I don't know about Vista because I haven't tried it. Probably never will. I might have a play with Windows 7 (aka Vista SP3) when I get around to it.
