Default Re: Headphone hole doesn't work, should I take apart player?

Since nobody replied to my question for a long time, I decided to take the risk and fiddle with my Mp3.

I fixed the earphone thing:
(this is for the ipod touch clone- Mini Mp3 Player)

1. Undo the two screws at bottom. Take back off

2. Undo the four screws in the corners.

3. From bottom, push screen towards yourself. It should pop out.

4. careful unattaching the USB and on/off switch. There's a wire attached to the front cover so be careful with that.

5. on outside of earphone hole there are three metal plates. Push them in a little more. Test sound by plugging in earphones then.

6. When all's adjusted put everything back together.

TIP: To ensure that you aren't breaking your Mp3 while taking it apart, have it playing music while you do it (If you have speakers). If it stops suddenly, then you know there's a problem.

TIP: don't take your Mp3 apart too many times. I've noticed that my screws have become looser and looser because of excessive screwing. These Mp3 don't use top-notch material.
