RockChip 26 - error: Cannot copy or find the specified file
Hi,
Wish I had known about this resource sooner.
I have a RockChip 16 GB MP3 player, that will not upload WMA files after working fine for several months. It has over 7GB of music already, and plays fine. However recently every time I attempt to load music an error message reads:
>> Cannot copy (file name). Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path & file name. << Then it either freezes or powers down.
This happens using either my desktop or laptop with XP & Vista respectively, & also with any of 3 of my back-up drives.
The only thing that might have changed, is that I tried to download some video apps a few months ago, but nothing ever worked. Actually today, Norton identified one of those zipped video apps as malicious on both computers. Not sure why now all of a sudden, other than I’ve been actively trying to transfer music files.
I read the caveat about _NOT doing firmware upgrades with RockChip 26 series processors_, unless the seller backs it up with an exchange policy. I would be clueless about how to do it anyway, & I don’t know what operating system as all it couphs up is 2008/09/09 version 00.00.0000.
I DID try using several different USB cables. However, I have no problem moving files from the MP3 player back to my computer, just not the other way around.
At least I have my old UXcell Star Platinum II one-GB player, and another 8 GB RockChip player, both working. I had hoped to use the 16 GB this one primarily for video and pics, but oh well ..it still has 7GB of music.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks, Tom
