So far as I've come across here, there's really no way to back up the firmware on players with the rk2608 chip. I have one with it as well, and I can't even get any of the programs designed to extract firmware to recognize that a rockchip device is connected. When I go to my device manager, it's listed as a rockchip device, but mp4 utilities can't seem to connect to it as such. Let me know if you find a way to do it.
