Thanks for your post. Pretty certain about the 16GB ..that's how it was marketed & stamped, although it's not a guarantee. I had already checked properties several times, and it always reads about half full with up to approx 8 GB still free, which would account for the LARGE amount of music that I already have on there, about the same as my 8GB player, which is full.

I hear what you are saying tho, as I've read about the problem of hacked memory on other posts, but it doesn't seem to fit this situation. OTOH maybe I picked something up trying to download those video shareware apps (?) My Norton keeps warning me about a Trojan.Dropper on the website suddenly.

I haven't heard from the seller, but although willing, they seem to know less than we do. If what you say is true, then I would like to load half my music on one player & half on the other, but now I'm concerned, that if I take anything off the 16GB player, it'll never work again.

Guess I'll have to read some more posts, and wait for the seller to respond ..not holding my breath :-/
