Itchee/Rizone microSD/TF Card support
I have 2 Rizone players that I have reformatted to 4GB. I would like to get back some of the lost space. I was wondering what microSD card is supported in this player. I had one seller tell me it would support up to 16GB microSD/TF card. My second seller just eMailed me back and said that it could only support a 4GB TF card. Another user on this site stated that he got his working with a 4GB microSD SDHC card. Anyone know exactly how large of a microSD card that this player will support and if it does support SDHC what revisions of SDHC it can support. I notice there are revision 2 to 6 of SDHC cards floating around out there. From what I understand, if it supports 4GB it has to be HC compatible. If it is HC compatible it should be able to take any size SDHC card availabe ie. up to 16GB. If anyone has any information regarding the exact specifications of what this player can support I would really appreciate it.
Ok from what I've read from SDA(Secure Data Association) Verison 1.0-1.1 was standard SD cards of which there are some that are up to 2GB. anything bigger is SDHC. SDHC is Version 2.0 and has Classes of 2,4, or 6. The internal controller on the Rizone is a 16GB controller with only a 4GB internal Flash Drive soldered into it. If I am not mistaken this is the same controller that runs the microSD slot. So the unit should support at least a 16GB SDHC card. What we don't know is the Class or speed of the controller. If it is a Class 4 controller it will only accept SDHC class 2 and 4. When copying to the unit I get write speeds of around 4Mb/s so the internal 4GB chip should be class 4, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the internal Flash Drive controller can't run a class 6 SDHC microSD card. If anyone can tell the speed of this controller from the info and internal pics supplied on this forum, would you please enlighten us...??? Also if any of my logic is flawed, please let me know. SDA specifications seem to be way too unnecessarily confusing.
