Default Onda VX767LE Buttons Problem

Hi everyone,

I got the Onda VX767LE mostly to read e-books and used the >> and << buttons to navigate in text files a lot because the preset auto browse timing (10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec...etc.) do not work for me. After 6 months (purchased in March) the >> and << buttons on the upper right are worn down - they don't click, cannot control which way it moves and get stuck a lot. The + and - buttons on the upper left which were used not nearly as much are also beginning to have the same problem. It has come to the point now that it is very difficult to go to a file because the scrolling will go crazy and cannot be stopped, and once in a file you can hardly move forward or even set the auto browse anymore.

This is apparently a hardware issue, but I thought I'd check around to see if anyone has any experience getting this fixed before sending it to Onda for repair. I fixed the on/off button on my Kodak digital camera myself but when I looked there is no screw or any obvious way to open up the VX767LE. Besides, I wonder if opening the player will void the warranty. Can anyone help? Thank you.
