Hi, I have this same RIZONE player - a birthday gift from my husband. It has been working fine, except that all videos and some music files give me an invalid file format message, and some txt files open as blanks - the player can count the pages, but there are just the background lines instead of words. Since I have loaded over 3.5 GB, I assume I am having these problems due to memory issues.

Unfortunately, I have Vista. At one stage when I tried to create a subdirectory, it filled that full of the original menu structure and a very long filename that could not be deleted. I eventually got rid of that problem by using the player's own format tool. However, Vista recently told me there was a corruption on the player and I allowed it to scan and try to fix it. (Having read this forum, I now believe that was the wrong thing to do!)

Since I have to format the player again anyway, I would like to follow your tutorial and try to fix the memory hack. I have the h2testw and mkdosfs files downloaded and ready to go - and I will use my laptop, which has XP on it. However, I can't work out how to back up the flash drive. I downloaded the USB Flash Drive BackUp demo version from Torosoft, hoping that was the answer - but when I try to back up, it says "backing up" for just a second and then drops back to "connected" without producing any backup file.

I am looking forward to your reply - thank you for being here! This is my third player - the other two are "dead". I have hopes of recovering at least one of them after reading your forum, but for now I would like to get my new player working properly! Thanks
