Seems that mine is only a 2gb as well - load on files after about 1.85gb and they go wobbly. The seller has agreed to refund me £8.50 (just under $14) so it has only cost me £11.50 ($18.75) but it's still bloody annoying. Being pragmatic though, chances of getting a full refund from China, even going through ebay and paypal, would be slim.

Looking on the bright side, even a 2gb with 2.8" touch screen and mini sd slot for £11.50 isn't a bad deal. I can live with that. What really pisses me off is that I can't undo the hack so that the bastard reveals what its real capacity is!

As for the memory, I haven't dared to take a screwdriver to it - the bloody thing is causing me enough trouble as it is without my wrecking it! It's not that I'm mean, but if I can't sort it through software and it gets to the soldering iron stage, I'm stuffed. Gotta know your limitations!
