I bought a player with 2.8" touchscreen from ebay. It looks the same as in the picture in the gallery here:

I put 4 gigs of mp3 on it and now it is stuck on the "loading" sscreen.
Turns out the memory was hacked. It really has 4 GB, not 32GB. I filed a complaint with Ebay and my refund is in progress. Paypal says it's refunded, just waiting for it to show up on my card.
Meanwhile I am wondering if I can salvage this player. The reset button turns it off, but it always stops at the loading screen when turned on, or when plugged in to charger or PC.
Windows won't recognize it at all, on or off. I even opened it up and tried pin-shorting the main chip. All it does is restart and hang on "loading". I'm guessing a corrupt bootloader. Any idea how I can reset this, even for use as a flash drive?
