When you plug in your player into your computer, does your computer pick up your player and can you see the contents of your player? If it picks up your player, then I would suggest, backup and copy back the files you want from your player then FORMATTING it to see if that helps resolve your player.
Now, if your player is 'stuck' try to look for a small 'reset' button or hold on the side of your player to see if you can reset it.
