So after formatting your player, it's got rid of the "Record System Error" messages and everything is working ok now on your player? Or are you still having issues with it?

Ebay never acknowledged that there were improper actions taken with the account, they just said that I did not have to proceed with the BOGUS transaction. The seller had over 11,500 transactions in one month. I believe that this fellow is manipulating the transactions by billing the winner as well as those who did not "Win" the auctions.
I decided to leave "Well-enough" alone, I did not reformat, I just pulled all the music off and now I no longer receive error messages when I record video or speech.
It still reads 16 Gig in Windows Explorer, I am trying to think of some way to use the GHOST utility to transfer an image of my Mp3 player before I format it.
