Hi Clinton,

I would highly recommend *not* trying to update the firmware on your player. All you need to do is look at the [Dead Player] section of the forum to see why. You have a much higher chance of having a DEAD PLAYER by flashing it with an incompatible firmware than to try to get some extra features from another firmware.

So, another way is to try to help you with using the player instead of trying to update the firmware on it.
Firstly, treat the player like a USB memory stick. When you plug it in, it should appear as a removable drive in [My Computer] so all you need to do is just copy and paste files onto the player instead of using iTunes. As far as I know, iTunes seems to only be compatible with Apple products (iPods etc...) and not these type of MP4 players.
