You have to open up (dismantle the unit i.e. open the screws and pull apart to see the electronics inside) and note the numbers written on the different parts like:
Side of the screen number (LCD), the number on the 2nd largest chip (called MICRO by us or MASTER by Chinese) and the number written on the circuit board (PLATE). If possible also take the number on the largest chip (NAND FLASH).
These are very important to find a firmware and the tool required since the manufacturer information is not available in Chinese MP3/MP/s
Note: if you flash a wrong firmware you would end up in disaster.
