Okay, update. I have three chipods that do power up. Two are stuck on the blue hourglass, the third lights up with a black screen (backlight on but nothing on it), then after about 30 seconds it shuts down. Oh and there's a 4th that lights up briefly then goes back to sleep, but that's a different board inside and i don't feel like messing with it.
Let's hope i'll be able to find some FW.
