You are very welcome to use it, but please try it and augment it. Ians1 does mention that when the partition is deleted, Windows may not see the drive to format it. I believe the MP3 itself may format it when it is replugged. Otherwise many of the other routines will reformat it.
I used Puppy because it has Gparted (a Linux partitioner) as one of its available routines under Menu > System > Gparted
