works
Borrowed a 4gb
usb flash drive from my wife's, put some music on it - and it
works.
They all are FAT formatted. So assuming the slot in your device actually works with the 1gb card, it's something with the 2gb sd card.
try formatting it in gparted (there's a life cd), f@@k windows.
