been having a similar problem with my 32GB as well. From what I can tell, the hack is tricky to remove because the MP3 players firmware is designed to reformat itself without the need of a PC. So in this case, the firmware is probably designed to have some safeguards around that memory that's making it unreadable to the reformating/partitioning program. That's a guess on my part.
