MP4 player: First video will play, second gives "file format error"
Hi guys
I'm new to this forum, so greetingzz to all of you from the Netherlands! I have a problem you guys maybe can help me with.
My wife and I both bought an MP4 player. Nice thing, cheap, good looking, a bit like an iPod. They came with no firm name, but I found out that they are Rockchip players. One came with a 3" touchscreen (320x240) so I think it's the RK2608, the other came with a 16:9 2,8" screen, it's the Rockchip RK27xx. Both players should have (so they say) an internal Flash drive of 16GB. Since we have the possibility now to watch video's on our players I started to convert video's to avi files with several converters (I really like the Xilisoft converter, but others will do also). I spend hours and hours to find out what settings are required for the avi files. I became really frustrated by the "file format error" message the players kept giving after uploading the video's. But I held on, discovered much and got finally result: I got a movie playing! But here is the strange thing: I can upload one avi file to a player (with Windows Vista) and it will play. But the second avi file (for example the second part of a movie or even the same file under a different name) though it has exactly the same settings still results in the "file format error" and that goes for all the video's coming thereafter. I tried over and over again but it seems that it's just not possible to have more than one file in the VIDEO directory. The first file will play, all the others won't. Does this sound familiar to anyone? And what do I have to do to get the players the job done? Or is it just simply not possible to load more than one video to the players due to a memory issue? Help of any kind is very much appreciated!
Greetingzzz
