By the way, here is the instruction how to reset this player to the ADFU device state, when it is waiting for a new firmware. This may be helpful if you happen to brick the player by uploading a wrong firmware file to it.
So, all you need to do is to:
- switch off the player
- short pins 6 and 7 of the memory chip on the right hand side of the chip (counting from top to bottom) as shown on the attached picture. You can use a needle or a small screwdriver
- switch the player on - it should very quickly appear in Windows as the ADFU device

I hope this hint will be helpful for others trying to revive their players.
