Default Rockchip SDK moving forward! (RKCrown?)

Rockchip SDK moving forward! (RKCrown?)

Well I tried to buy a new RK27xx series player to use with the SDK.
I figured that a RAmos RM970 clone would be the best bet.

Got one from ebay had the same old crappy Rockchip interface, but looking in the system setting it said rk261x. What! a 26xx series! no, its a RkCrown player!

Well the rkusb.tag trick works, sort of, but you get an extra partition. Well, backed up everything from the player.
Seems that if you try to swap out anything on the firmware partition it overwrites it using another backup somewhere.

There is a mystery folder in the partition called "ãõ╦¹╗·ð═" that you can't get into, copy or delete.I suspect that's where the backup is held.

Managed to get hold of the update tool for RKCrown but the firmware needs to be packaged into an .img file, but it's a new format it seems, and can't be opened with winimage.

I would like to see if I could make a firmware for this player using RK27xxSDK but I need to be able to open the new .img
format to flash onto the player.
