I tried the file browser as well but the 10 or so apps/games I got didn't work.

I haven't fully tested the player's battery - just trying to find time to be available 8 hours to check on the player. Might do a full charge and have it turned on while at work
This player is a 'light' version of Android. It doesn't come with wifi so that's power saving not having wifi. I actually wish it did have wifi as it's so convenient to have access to the internet.
