Hi im going round in circles, by your definitions my mp4 is not dead , it still boots, i can still access menu etc. BUT and its a big But. All my dloads have been wiped as have the original that were preinstalled, lets go barby etc.

So some 300 music tracks and several videos, Also now there is a warning on music icon saying "no music File" and under record the is a millisec falsh warning disk full.

Mine has a samsung64G bit chip. The usb interface cable maybe naff, sometimes the comp recognises the player sometimes not.

Its has gone from registering the 8gb memory, down to 643mb down to nothing
and when it does recognise there is a removable disc it says put in disc!!!

And for some peculiar reason it recognises discs in E and G slots at the same time its like ghosting or something. Oh its supposed to be a rockchip usb device, i have the original driver disc. I have not been able to upgrade. I have checked via device manager which says its working. However when i go into tools to check and click on fix nothing happens. There is no up or dload occuring.

Please can anyone help
