It could possibly be:

1. The USB cable is faulty, particularly one of the pins that provide the power to charge your player on the USB cable is faulty. So I would suggest try a different USB cable and see if that helps.

2. The pins on your player's USB port is faulty as it's not picking up the charge from the USB cable

3. The connection from your player's board into the battery is faulty or isn't soldered on properly so it's not passing on the electrical charge to your battery.

4. The battery is faulty.


The easiest one to try is another USB cable as this is a rather common problem unfortunately.
