I agree Hazel. At least you get a bit more protection with sellers like Uxcell and VisualLand. I have a couple of different players from VL and they are all good, supplied as described and with warranty you know will actually be there if you need it.
EBay is a good source for many things, but like many forms of retail, there are sharks out there. VL & Uxcell are "more expensive" than some EBay sellers, but sometimes you actually do get what you pay for - eg. aftersales support and warranties.
Sellers like lcdguard are the ones ruining EBay for genuine sellers. lcdguard for instance not only advertises 4GB nano-clone players when none exist yet, but charges 20quid postage and puts 2quid (31HKD) of stamps on the package. Obviously its to make the sale price look less and still make a profit, but for those who dont read the postage charges, it really is misleading, because EBay states that it will not address issues relating to "Postal Charge disagreements". Nice.
