Re: Anybody who personally bought a hacked player from blown

Add me to the list of eBayers to get scammed by these so called 4gig players. I actually bought 4 of these from various sellers including blown-z. I had planned for all to be gifts.
Other sellers were powersellerturbo (yes, I think it is the same person as blown-z), buy lowest, and jcl0924.
The player from jcl0924 was advertised as 2gig - I am not sure if it is real as I gave it as a gift prior to reading here.
The player from powersellerturbo (item#270069570558) was advertised as 4gig - only to be less than 500meg. I ended up filing a dispute with paypal and he refunded me the price and I sent unit back on my dime (wasn't thrilled about that).
The player from blown-z (item# 200059748108) advertised as 4gig - only to be less than 500meg - go figure.
I opened a dispute with paypal and have yet to hear from blown-z. I plan to escalate the dispute to a claim due to the lack of communication from blown-z. I tried both ebay messaging and paypal dispute console. I have all contact info and plan on contacting the local police as others have done. Perhaps after enough complaints, they may take action.
The player from buy lowest has yet to arrive but (item#330063115801), it is the one that looks just like an ipod and claims 4gig. I won't hold my breath. I will file a claim with paypal if it is not though.

I do hope to hear from blown-z regarding this. If you frequent this site, my username here is the same as ebay.

Good luck all!

Sadly, the packaging looks exactly the same as the 2 confirmed hacked players I received. Same box, charger, etc. Just a different looking player.

Remember - don't just plug it in and check properties in Windows. That is what I did with the first one. Problems began after loading 500 meg.

Good luck!

Re: Anybody who personally bought a hacked player from blown

I have actually received a couple of emails from blown-z (Supreme Solutions).
I had requested that all communications should take place via paypal's dispute center but, I guess I should be happy that there is any communication at all.
The first email simply requested that I send it back to Supreme Solutions, along with instructions on how to operate it. I found this part of the email interesting:
Quote:

Mp4 Player Keeps shutting down?

If have any partial mp3 files installed the player it will automatically
shut down, make sure to delete these partial files and restart the Mp4
Player.
Apparently most all files end up becoming partial files once the player has more than 474Meg.

My patience is growing short with this. I will give them until tomorrow afternoon to resolve this. If not, I will escalate to a claim with Paypal and I will accept nothing less than a full refund and, since this is fraud, I will insist on a pre-paid return mailer from Supreme Solutions. I will also pursue any other legal options afforded to me.

jcl0924

MPJ-MLJ:

I received the MP3 Player from jcl0924 and yes, it is 1GB with a 2GB sticker on it. I just contacted the seller and I'm going to see where this leads. I gave the seller 24hrs too respond or I'll start the complaint process.

I'm hoping that they are victims as well.

Re: Anybody who personally bought a hacked player from blown

Blown-Z, I'd like you to know that I sent a refund request for my money order today, although I did have to include 12 dollars which I wasn't so thrilled about. I have decided to keep the dispute open just in case I do not get my refund and it turned out that that money order was cashed. It better not have been cashed or I will not close the disputes and you will be getting 3 strikes.

Besides that...there is something very fishy about powersellerturbo and blown-z. I think they might be the same person. They both reside in Anoka, MN, although their PO Box number is different. Anyone willing to investigate further into this?

Re: Anybody who personally bought a hacked player from blown

Howdy y'all
Doesn't it really suck to have to find a community just for the sake of having to deal with bad sellers? I too have been dupped by a 4 G-bit player from Blown-z. I am going to use this place to also relay messages to him:

Blown-Z,
My wife (hotmama2375) was another one of your buyers from Ebay that has received a 4 G-bit player, thinking it was a GB player. At first we wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt but after reading at least a dozen posts from multiple websites of unhappy customers and seeing your misleading ads still running, I have no doubt that you are fully aware of the misleading nature of your sales.
I would like to request one of two things: AN ACTUAL 2 GIGABYTE Mp3/MP4 player or a full refund of our money. I would prefer to get the unit as I really like it, but I am sure I can find them elsewhere from reputable dealers if need be.
So then, please let me know which way you would prefer to handle this; sending the player or sending our money back. I am allowing you 3 days to reply to this message to either mine or my wife’s email or through ebay’s PM system.
If no response is received on or about Jan 4th 2007 a formal complaint will be filled with ebay, paypal, and we will gladly join the many people who are starting to organize a legal action claim against Supreme Solutions.
I truly hope that we can come to a peaceable resolution to this problem without the need to follow less amicable paths.

THIS MESSAGE IS BEING SENT VIA EBAY’S QUESTIONS SYSTEM, SENT DIRECTLY TO SUPREMESOLUTIONS@COMCAST.NET AND POSTED ON MYMPXPALYER.ORG.

EDIT: As of 5:49 pm on the 31st, Blown-Z has refunded my money. I thank you all and him for following the right action. I wish that he would learn from this and stop misleading people.
Blown, if you read this, please do the right thing, I have seen pictures of your new granddaughter (found googling your name) and I hope you learn for her sake.
