I just got a 4GB player from POWERSELLERTURBO!

Well, I guess I'm screwed. I won an auction from powersellerturbo, and dug deeper into the feedback and wound up with a link that finally brought me here. :x I'm so pissed!I would have never dreamed anyone would do the fake space thing! ok, my question is, I haven't paid for the item yet, is there any way I retract my bid and not get a bad rating? I dont use ebay a lot, but i would like to keep my rating for when i do. I have gotten some great deals on ebay, but after reading everything on here, I DO NOT want to deal with this guy. I have found a mp4 player i like on uxcell, I would much rather buy from them, do I have any options?

I do not know how many days you have left before you have to pay, but you could lure him into making a statement about the true size of the memory, ask him if the player is really 4 gigabyte, before you pay. If he says the player is 4 gigabytes, you have some strong evidence against him in the dispute you can start up with ebay/paypal after receiving the player.

stefanyb, I looked at the link you left and he is covering his arse nicely. He has only listed the players size twice in the heading and once in the blurb. Both times as 4Gb which is 4Gigabits=512MB
not as 4GB=32Gigabits. Basically if you get a 1GB player you have got double the amount of memory he advertised.

stefanyb , you could try contacting the seller and telling him/her that you wish to cancel the winning bid. Just give some reasons to make your request to cancel seem more real.

If they insist that you complete the deal, you have 2 options.
1. Totally ignore and don't pay at all. However, this would most likely result in you having negative feedback, and receiving an unpaid item strike on your account.
2. As what Que had mentioned, verify with the seller the actual amount, and if the memory is hacked (most likely is), then you'll have a better chance to win a dispute.

Thanks so much guys! I have emailed him asking if it is 4 gigabytes, thats the right word, right? I have until saturday to pay him, he says allow 48 hrs for email response, so I should get an answer before then. I bought my son a nano clone from ebay and it was fine, all I really know about them I learn from my kids(12 and 15), I didnt really like the style of the nano look alikes, my other son bought an actual nano from walmart and it's dead now. I'm tryin to check on the warranty, but I'm thinking of trying some stuff from here now. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Im sure I'd be happy with a 512mb or a 1gb,but I figured why not get a 4gb for the same price or better? Im not totally illiterate about technology, but I'm no whiz either,I just wonder how many other people have got taken like this. This guy should be put out of business, if I hadnt read the link in the feedback, I probaly would have never known. Thanks again guys. I also contacted ebay with some of the other links I have found where this guy has ripped people off. There's LOTS of them. THANKS AGAIN, I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again, when I'm forced to pay for this and have to fix all the problems.

My trouble with MARKLARSON007@aol.com, that is powersellerturbo are bigger. Without success I am fighting over my money. I was so unreasonable that I bought from him as many as two MP4 players. In the fishing for the November I won 8GB, and for the next 4GB week. Buying I was first completely unaware of trouble I am which facing. There were problems at once at starting. The memory worked very slowly, somewhere even I saw that the disc had only 4GB. I could not more, because "died" during loading of the music. As broken I sent back to the seller (next money). At that time he came my second won from powersellerturbo MP4 player - 4GB. Now I already had the sure wisdom, the thanks for this forum also. I searched for the information about the cause of first damage. I could see already about frauds. At once I examined new MP4 player - not 4GB but only 1GB. Both were cheated. He isn't surrendering w¹tplwoœci. First - because 8GB at all doesn't exist, second - because has only 1GB. I started demanding from powersellerturbo of money. He prolonged the matter although before the week he wrote that he would pay money back. To the next question, when, wrote, that pushing the matter at all not przyœpeiszy. Now I already know, that to refund doesn't think. He probably still quite a lot has the "hot good" for selling, then a business will close. Yesterday in the matter both MP4 players I opened the dispute in PayPAL. To today of no reaction, so alone I am doing it through eBay. I don't know, but I will be doing every next day something new, perhaps I will finally get my money. Myœle this man is acting without moral scruples. Period ahead of Christmas, it good chance for earning a lot of money. Dishonestly? In civilised world it is impermissible, criminal. I am an emigrant from Europe (forgive me my English), for the first time I am meeting with such an insolence and the calmness of criminal services. And what to this eBay, PayPAL - partners?
Friend, don't pay! If you have a lot of money pay them back to the poor - on Christmas. You won't regain them then. Let him open the dispute - cite us as an authority, cheated. Warn different. And cheated of them they are writing to PayPAL, eBay, perhaps we will close the one "business" - with powersellerturbo.

so, now he is saying it is GIGABITS!!! I wish I could contact everyone in his auctions, but of course, they are private, I have never seen a private auction before. So basically I would get 500 mb, which I could buy for a lot cheaper. I still havent heard from ebay.

That seller is really cheeky! Can't believe he uses Gb instead of GB to catch unwary customers.

Can you please NEGATIVE feedback on your auction to warn others in the future? It's not much as he has a point in saying it's gigaBITS instead.

My advice: DO NOT BUY THE DAMN PLAYER!

There is no way POWERSELLERTURBO is selling true 4gigabytes players.

The question people should ask their seller is:

"Is this 4 gigaBYTES or 4 gigaBITS"?

As to the reason you won't go through with the purchase, tell him you do not feel like being f***ed with today. If he leaves a neg, don't worry about. A neg from a 4GB scammer has little impact. Leave him a neg anyhow, which says:

FRAUD! SELLER PURPOSELY MISLEADING-4Gb=4 gigaBITS not BYTES

Ok,I just wanted to update you guys. I have done nothing since emailing e-bay and the SELLER hasn't either!! mmm.. is this not weird? no unpaid strike, no bad feedback, nothing, it's been over a month. Do you think he hopes I'll just go away? Should I go ahead and leave bad feedback linking to his ripoffs? I have no intention of paying for this piece of crap. I just think it's weird that he hasnt contacted me about not paying by now.
